The high alumina cement is widely used in overseas as its high fire resistance & early condensate. Its dosage has exceeded its application in monolithic refractories. Especially pure calcium aluminate cement (CA), it is one of the best binding materials amongst the monolithic materials. Our company's CA cement is a kind of high performance alumina cement consisting of mainly pure calcium aluminate. Compare with other ordinary domestic bonded aluminate cements our pure calcium aluminate cement has the following advantage:
1、High stability of the mineral composition
In the production of CA cement our company uses both domestic and imported raw materials, use unique melting technology and is only one in strict quality control and testing throughout the whole production process to ensure producing CA with high purity and consistency, consisting of only minor C2AS, and without trace of C12A7、CA2 & any un-melted minerals.
2、Early strengthening and excellent workability
CA cement materials mineral composition purity high, quality stable, strictly control of products particle size resulting in early strengthening character, it starts solidify and harden in about 4 hours, strengthen in 6 hours. After 24 hours its strength equals to the strength of early strengthening cement’s 2 weeks strength, hence very easy to apply. In addition, due to the high purity of the product it is easy to control in application, can use with silicate cement, anhydrite gypsum etc to form early strengthening cement for emergency construction. Solidify time is between 1 minute to 12 hours which can be adjusted according to the requirement.
CA cement mineral phase composition is stable, eliminates the formation of C12A7 solidified phase and also its product has special particle distribution, therefore it has excellent flow-ability, especially suitable for preparing monolithic materials in gravity flow and pumping application.
4、High fire resistance, acid resistance
CA cement has high reaction, high purity, stable quality hence produces less liquid phase at high temperature, has minimum affect to fire resistance of the casting material, therefore highly increases the application temperature of the casting material. At the same time, CA cement has high acid resistance hence can be safely used in the range of PH 3.5 – 7.0 for long time.
5、High strength, good resistance to spalling
CA cement has high strength at room temperature & high temperature, strength indication is more superior than alumina cement #GB925. In addition, has short curing time, low linear change rate at high temperature, good spalling resistance, and easy to control during heating.
CA cement reacts perfectly at low temperature with good strength therefore suitable for civil work at cold weather area.

1、The application in monolithic refractories
First, it is a main binding agent of pumping, gunning & gravity flow casting material. Japanese fire resistance casting material uses mostly gravity flow type nowadays. It mainly uses with fused cement with product application temperature from 1100 to 1800 deg (C). Second, when combine with fine particle it can form superior low cement & super-low cement casting material. Third, using its high strength, it can produces high strength casting material, grinding resistance casting material & light-weight grinding resistance casting material & other high strength casting materials. In addition, using its acid resistance characteristic it can be used to produce acid & fire resistance casting materials.
2、The application in construction materials and civil work
In foreign country, because of the excellent performance of CA cement it is widely used as construction materials and in civil work, the quantity consumed is more than the quantity used as monolithic material s, such as CA cement can be used as fire protecting materials in building, urgent materials for emergency repair works, material of CA base combine with others to form fine waterproof products, through adding other additives enable to be used as emergency curing materials.
